Friday Update 2/7

Welcome back to Ms. Jangula’s weekly blog!

Language Arts:

This week we have begun our research on the specific person that we believe inspires us. We are prepared to start a rough draft and then continue to edit and revise our speeches. This is NOT a biography from birth to death, this is supposed to represent how someone’s good actions stood out from their flaws. Make sure your student has a rough draft done for the speech by February 21st.

Social Studies:

Your student has gathered into a group of 2 other friends, they have been assigned to study an explorer from the age of exploration. They will then, use their own resources to make a journal from their explorer’s perspective. The assignment is due on February 14, make sure your kids are using their time wisely, they will have some days to work on it in class next week.
